Gingerbread museum

Lectar
Our products

Part of history and tradition

A house with a tradition Lectar has been standing on the square of the medieval town of Radovljica for more than five hundred years. In addition to the restaurant and hotel, there is also a museum of old Slovenian handicrafts. In this house, Jakob Krivic opened a lect workshop and a gingerbread bakery in 1766. But even these days, we make traditional gingerbread products. The best known is in the shape of a red heart, but we also make other shapes.

Museum and a tour

In the museum, you can see the original process of making this renowned Slovenian product. The presentation of the process is certainly interesting because you travel to the old days for a moment or two. You can also make your “lect” from gingerbread in the workshop, but you must sign up for the tour beforehand.

Today, gingerbread products are a valuable tourist memory from our country and adorable promotional or business gift. At your request, we make “lect” of any shape, size, in different colors, or with various inscriptions.
